Getting help
We are a small team and we answer our own email. There is no phone queue and no ticket number. Write to us and a person reads it.
Write to us
hello@thetelepathycenter.com
For anything about The Field, the website, a session that went wrong, or a question about the research. We answer within two working days, and within 30 days at the outside for anything that needs digging.
You can also use the contact form, which reaches the same inbox.
Things you can do yourself
Locked out of the app
Ask for a password reset from the sign-in screen, and we’ll email you a code. The early accounts made with a name instead of an email address use their recovery codes, and each one works once. Without either, we can’t open the account for you, because we hold no way to prove it’s yours. That’s the cost of an account we can’t read into, and it’s deliberate.
Your date of birth is wrong
Giving it is optional, and if you haven’t yet, you can add it in Your Field. Once it’s saved it can’t be edited, so that nobody can reopen a door their first answer closed. Correcting one means deleting the account and making a new one.
Delete your account
In the app, open Your Field and tap Delete my account. Without the app, use our account deletion page.
Dictation will not start
The app only dictates using recognition that runs on your own phone, and not every language works on every handset. Where yours cannot, the feature switches itself off rather than sending your audio to a server. If you refused the microphone earlier, your phone’s Settings app is the only place that can undo it.
Stop the emails
Every update we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. Mail your account needs, such as a password reset, is not affected.
Reporting a security problem
Write to hello@thetelepathycenter.com with what you found and how to reproduce it. We would rather hear about it than not, and we will not pursue anybody who reports something in good faith and does not go looking through other people’s data.
The rest
Our privacy policy says what we collect and who processes it. Our terms say what we are offering and what we are not.
